MATHEMATICAL METHODS OF DATA PROCESSING

Course purpose

The purpose of this course is to give students necessary knowledge about usable modern mathematical methods in case of ambiguous data processing in different fields (first of all in physics and financial markets).

Course objectives
- Proficiency in basic methods of parametric and nonparametric estimation;
- Proficiency in basic modern mathematical methods of consideration of a priori expert information;
- Proficiency in basic modern mathematical methods of robust estimation, including numerical methods of estimation determination;
- Proficiency in basic modern methods of elimination of deterministic component from chaotic series and its forecasting methods.
